Job summary

ACCIONA in Australia is seeking a Senior Cost Planner to join our Project Controls team in Sydney. You will lead the development, review and monitoring of project cost plans, budgets and forecasts to embed robust cost planning across the project lifecycle.

Collaborating with Design, Procurement, Construction and Operations, you will deliver accurate cost reporting, forecasting and performance insights to drive cost certainty and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field with experience in cost planning for major projects.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cost management principles.
• Experience in complex multidisciplinary environments and stakeholder engagement.
• Advanced Excel and dashboard reporting abilities with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review and management of project cost plans, budgets and cost frameworks.
• Provide cost planning advice to enable informed decisions and successful delivery.
• Manage cost forecasting, benchmarking and performance reporting with dashboards.
• Identify cost risks, trends and value engineering opportunities for risks and opportunities.
• Monitor cost performance and capture lessons to improve estimating accuracy.
