Job summary

Leidos Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to drive financial performance and enable strategic decision-making across critical IT projects in Australia. You will partner with program teams, finance, and operations to deliver timely insights and robust budgets.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with CostPoint and other financial systems, and eligibility for Baseline security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program and project teams and stakeholders to provide strategic financial advice aligned to goals and contractual obligations.
• Provide decision support through cost analysis, scenario modelling and risk assessment for proactive financial management.
• Lead monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting using historical performance data to guide planning and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with program and project teams, and stakeholders across finance, delivery and operations to provide strategic financial advice aligned to operational goals and contractual commitments.
• Provide decision support through cost analysis, scenario modelling and risk assessment to enable proactive financial management.
• Lead monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, translating data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by leveraging historical trends and performance metrics to guide planning and resource allocation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems.

About You

Skills & Experience

• Proven ability to build strong business partnerships and effectively manage diverse stakeholders across functions and geographies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
• Strong experience in financial management, reporting and governance, with a track record of supporting project delivery teams and program success.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience working in a global business environment, ideally with financial systems such as CostPoint, OAC or OBI.
• This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Baseline security clearance.
