Job summary

Perth Airport is seeking a senior Commercial Lead to drive the Program Commercial team and oversee commercial strategy, contract management, risk management and stakeholder engagement across major infrastructure projects. The role requires a background in engineering, quantity surveying or construction management, plus extensive senior experience in commercial leadership within large projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Extensive senior level experience in commercial/contract management within major projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracting and procurement models for infrastructure.
• Proven risk management and financial ailment awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Lead with strategic thinking and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Program Commercial team.
• Provide leadership across major contracts and ensure governance.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise value and manage risk.
• Partner with project leaders to achieve aligned commercial outcomes.
• Offer guidance on contract negotiations, claims, disputes and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, frameworks and governance.
• Embed safety, environmental and sustainability considerations in procurement.
