Job summary

CMG Auto Parts in Hindmarsh, SA, seeks a Full-Time Production Manager to oversee component recovery, reconditioning, assembly, testing and QA. You will lead production staff, plan schedules, manage workflows and ensure safety and quality standards across operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field and 3+ years of management experience, with a focus on efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, production management, engineering, operations management, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant production or manufacturing management experience.
• Experience in production planning, labour allocation, workflow control, capacity planning and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of production equipment, workshop processes and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Ability to analyse production data and manage costs.
• Experience in reconditioning, remanufacturing, assembly or related processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate component recovery, reconditioning, assembly, testing and quality-control activities.
• Develop production plans and schedules based on availability, demand, capacity and priorities.
• Establish workflows for identification, dismantling, inspection, cleaning, repair and release.
• Allocate work and coordinate production staff to meet targets.
• Monitor progress, efficiency, turnaround times and output.
• Maintain production methods, inspection requirements and quality standards.
• Investigate delays, defects and constraints; implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regular production and performance reports for management.
• Ensure safety, environmental and operational compliance.
