Job summary

Owen Daniels in Northampton is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead CAM programming and manufacturing improvements on high-precision projects. The role covers design of tooling, fixtures and processes from concept to production, with a strong emphasis on GD&T and quality compliance.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in CAM programming (Siemens NX or equivalent) and experience in automotive or aerospace sectors, plus exposure to Teamcenter, Vericut or SAP.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or apprenticeship.

Senior Production Engineer – Key responsibilities:

• Develop, optimise and maintain multi-axis CNC programmes using CAM software.
• Design and implement effective production tooling, fixtures and manufacturing solutions.
• Take ownership of manufacturing processes from initial concept through to production.
• Support new product introduction, process development and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
• Provide technical support to production teams while ensuring compliance with quality, Health & Safety.

Senior Production Engineer – Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience (5 years+) in CAM programming, using Siemens NX or similar.
• Manufacturing engineering experience within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing, production engineering and fixture design.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Relevant HNC, HND, degree-level qualification or apprentice trained.
• Practical problem-solving skills, with experience of Teamcenter, Vericut or SAP.
