Job summary

Warrikal in West Perth is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing and drive supplier performance within the Supply Chain team. The role offers autonomy to own procurement outcomes, deliver commercial value and sustain continuous improvement across the business.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage complex negotiations, and contribute to governance while delivering high-quality procurement solutions for operational and strategic needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' procurement experience, with senior-level experience developing and implementing procurement strategies in complex environments.
• Proven experience across strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, commercial risk management and supplier performance.
• Strong commercial and business acumen, balancing cost, quality, risk and operational requirements.
• Attention to detail with proactive continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience in resources, mining, maintenance or construction is highly regarded, with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the procurement value program, establishing clear ownership and delivery against targets and timelines.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities including supplier prequalification, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract management.
• Manage commercial agreements and supplier performance, maximising value, minimising risk and ensuring delivery, quality and contractual obligations.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring procurement solutions are practical and aligned with operational requirements.
• Identify and implement procurement improvements, to enhance processes, supplier arrangements and commercial outcomes.
• Support procurement governance and capability, including policies, procedures, compliance frameworks, mentoring and development of procurement team members.
• Provide commercial input into business planning and strategic sourcing decisions, with periodic travel to metropolitan and regional sites.

Warrikal is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team in West Perth.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key role within Warrikal's Supply Chain team. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will drive procurement outcomes across the business. Your focus will be on strategic sourcing, supplier performance, commercial value and continuous improvement.

This is a hands‑on senior role where you will have the opportunity to influence how procurement is delivered across Warrikal. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities and strengthen commercial outcomes. You will also ensure procurement solutions support the operational and strategic needs of the business.

We are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact. You will bring strong commercial acumen, strategic procurement expertise and a proactive approach to supplier engagement. You will be confident working independently and motivated by delivering high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced and growing business.

About You

We are looking for someone who is experienced, commercially minded and self‑sufficient. You will be comfortable working autonomously, identify what needs to be done and take ownership through to delivery.

• 5+ years' procurement experience, with demonstrated senior‑level experience developing and implementing procurement strategies in complex environments.
• Proven experience across strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, commercial risk management and supplier performance.
• Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to balance cost, quality, risk and operational requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong understanding of procurement and supply chain principles and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Experience within resources, mining, maintenance or construction is highly regarded, with relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Supply Chain or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Highly developed communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and manage competing priorities.
• A self‑motivated and accountable approach, with the ability to work autonomously, solve problems effectively and consistently deliver high‑quality outcomes with integrity and discretion.
