Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer in Fremantle, WA to lead procurement and supply chain services for IMSA programs.

You will prepare RFQs and statements of work, coordinate supplier competitions, and manage purchase orders and sub-contracts to maximise profitability and on‑time delivery, while supporting Australian Industry capability.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years experience in procurement or supply chain roles (desirable).
• Defence industry experience desirable.
• Experience developing supplier relationships and meeting time-critical deadlines.
• Understanding of Export Controls (ITAR) desirable.
• Ability to hold Australian Defence Clearance.
• Australian Citizenship required to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

About The Role

Working in close collaboration with PMO stakeholders, the Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for the procurement and supply chain services for IMSA programs, delivering on schedule and within budget. This will be achieved through working collaboratively with program teams to develop and implement procurement outcomes that contribute to business growth and enhance Australian Industry capability. Your remit includes preparation and analysis of requests for quotations and statements of work to suppliers to meet business and project requirements, running supplier competitions when appropriate; production and coordination of purchase requisitions and administration of purchase orders and sub‑contracts to maximize profitability and ensure timely achievement of project objectives; preparation and negotiation of sub‑contracts, statements of work and order amendments; and supply‑chain input with the cost estimating process for bids and proposals, including the cost of BOMs.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
• At least 5 years experience (desirable)
• Defence industry experience, desirable
• Demonstrated experience in development of supplier relationships, supporting customer requirements and meeting time‑critical deadlines
• High level of computer literacy and ability to compile reports
• Experience with and understanding of Export Controls (especially the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)) desirable
• Ability to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Clearance
• All applicants must have Australian Citizenship in order to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
