Job summary

L3Harris IMSA in Australia is seeking a highly motivated Junior Electronics Technician to support mechanical assemblies and electronics fabrication. The role covers wiring, cabling, assembly of electronics cabinets and housings, fault finding and testing of circuit boards, with on-site installations and maintenance.

Applicants should have experience with wiring diagrams, possess a Construction White Card, and hold a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experience with wiring, cabling and connector termination in electronics assemblies.
• Experience in fault finding of electronic systems and testing of circuit boards.
• Construction white card and a valid driver’s licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Daily tasks include electronic board assemblies/rework, cable assemblies, fabrication, and testing of acoustic products.
• Involved in manufacturing, assembling and testing of components and subsystems.
• Quality control support for incoming goods as required.

About the role

L3Harris IMSA is seeking a highly driven Junior Electronics Technician to provide and support our mechanical assemblies. Your remit will be as broad as it is challenging, with opportunities for growth. The Junior Electronics Technician's daily activities may include but not be limited to, electronic board assembies/rework, cable assemblies, fabrication, as well as manufacuring, assembling and testing acoustic products. There will be a level of Quality Control support of incoming goods when required.

As there will be on site work with Installation/Maintenance, a drivers licence and Construction White Card is required.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will be experienced in general wiring, cabling and connector termination, construction of electronics cabinets and housings. Experience with fault finding of Electronics Systems and testing of Circuit Boards.

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, the ideal applicants will bring;

• Working knowledge of wiring and engineering drawings

• Cert III and/or IV in relevant field

• Proficient with the use of hand tools

• Experience in mechanical assembly
