Chobani Australia in Dandenong South is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive the next growth phase. You will lead a large portfolio spanning dairy, packaging, ingredients and indirects, shaping strategy and supplier relationships.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will build capability in category management, lead major sourcing programs, and influence senior stakeholders to deliver long-term value while maintaining continuity and risk management.

The Opportunity

As Chobani continues to grow, so does the complexity and importance of our supply base.

This role leads a significant and growing procurement portfolio, with responsibility for securing supply, building future capacity, improving supplier performance and ensuring the procurement function is ready to support the next stage of business growth. The portfolio includes some of the business’s most critical and complex categories, including dairy, packaging and indirects.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you’ll lead a team across Dairy, Ingredients, Packaging and Indirects. While the function has established strong foundations, the opportunity is to build the next stage of capability, evolving procurement into a commercially driven category management function that anticipates risk, influences business decisions and creates long-term value.

In this role you will:

• Lead and execute Chobani’s procurement strategy
• Develop a high-performing procurement team and stronger category management capability
• Lead major sourcing programs, tenders and complex commercial negotiations, with accountability for the procurement productivity program
• Translate business growth plans into supplier capacity and continuity strategies

Your Experience

This role requires equal parts leadership and technical procurement expertise.

You’ll bring proven experience leading procurement teams and large, complex direct and indirect procurement portfolios within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods or a comparable manufacturing environment. Just as importantly, you’ll have deep knowledge in category management, strategic sourcing, managing supplier risk, commercial negotiations and stakeholder influence.

We’re looking for a leader who can:

• Develop and grow our Category Managers and build accountability through others
• Balance cost, service, quality, innovation and supply risk when making decisions
• Stay ahead of emerging risks, capacity constraints and commercial challenges, translating insight into action
• Support major negotiations while maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Influence senior stakeholders through commercial credibility and sound judgement
• Build the governance, discipline and capability required for a growing business

Importantly, you’ll be commercially strong, technically credible and comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level. You’ll know when to step into a negotiation, when to coach your team and when to challenge the status quo.
