Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a senior Process Engineer to provide technical support for Riverstone WWTP capital projects. You will work with planners, major projects, and operations to optimize performance, drive safety in design, and contribute to option analyses, design reviews, and commissioning.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, align with Sydney Water standards, and contribute to pilot trials of new technologies and instrumentation, including process modelling and SCADA-related activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years design, operation and optimisation of plant experience.
• Water/wastewater industry knowledge.
• Strong technical report writing and analytical skills.
• Stakeholder management across varying levels in teams.
• Knowledge of product guidelines and quality management systems.
• Experience with MS Office and customized software packages; SCADA advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects fit for purpose across planning, design, construction, commissioning and operations.
• Support capital and growth projects with technical input and ensure alignment with Sydney Water standards.
• Lead resolution of complex technical and process issues and drive standardisation through manuals and process descriptions.
• Provide input into R&D and pilot trials of new technologies and instrumentation.
• Ensure safety in design, construction and commissioning; lead safety initiatives.
• Implement new systems including instrumentation, control upgrades and process modelling.
