Santos Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to deliver specialist process engineering support, technical assurance and discipline governance across Midstream & Energy Solutions assets. The role reports to the Team Leader Discipline Engineering and aims to ensure safe, reliable outcomes across the asset lifecycle.

Based in our Brisbane office, you will lead technical assessments, mentor graduates, and contribute to annual planning and budget development while maintaining

Competenze

• Ten or more years of experience in a process engineering role supporting operations and projects in oil and gas, petrochemical or a similar industry.
• Experience in major hazard facility or refining environments (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of relevant technical standards and the regulatory framework for the oil and gas industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively in a corporate engineering environment
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers at graduate or early-career level
• Eligible for RPEQ and chartered engineering status, with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering

Mansioni

• Perform technical assessments, reviews and assurance of engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with Santos, regulatory and industry requirements
• Collaborate with process optimisation, operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate equipment vulnerabilities, reliability risks and obsolescence challenges
• Review and assure contractor and vendor engineering deliverables against legislative, corporate and industry standards
• Support investigations into discipline-related incidents, failures and performance issues, providing technical analysis and recommendations
• Fulfil the role of Change Advisor within the Management of Change process and provide technical guidance on proposed changes
• Ensure process safety, asset integrity and personnel safety considerations are embedded throughout project development, design and execution
• Mentor, coach and develop graduate and early-career engineers to build discipline capability
• Contribute to discipline engineering planning, forecasting and annual budget development
• Maintain compliance with the Santos Management System, Delegation of Authority and all applicable company policies and standards
