Job summary

Corrections Victoria is seeking an Industry Officer to lead daily operations at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and supervise prisoner work programs. You will model professional conduct, manage production targets, and uphold safety, security and quality standards within a correctional setting.

The role requires leadership in a complex environment, collaboration with staff and service providers, and adherence to pre-service and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a correctional environment.
• Experience supervising workers across diverse tasks.
• Computer literacy with Windows and MS Office; willingness to learn Oracle.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence.
• Completion or willingness to undertake Prison Officer Pre-service Training.
• First Aid certificate HLTAIDO11.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily operational aspects of the DFPC Industries to meet production targets and maintain records.
• Ensure safety and security of prisoners, staff and visitors within the facility.
• Participate in continuous improvement (LEAN 5S) to address local issues.
