Job summary

Genus Group is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to support planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects in Australia. You will develop and maintain schedules using Primavera P6, monitor progress, manage schedule risks and provide accurate reporting to support project performance.

You will baseline and update schedules, analyze variances, and coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with cost controls and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• Experience developing and managing complex project schedules with baselines, progress updates and forecasts.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management and schedule performance reporting.
• Experience analysing planned vs actual progress, resources, hours and costs.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and time management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive in identifying risks, resolving issues and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, baseline and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress against schedules, milestones, budgets and resources.
• Analyse schedule performance, identify risks and delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts and schedule performance updates for stakeholders.
• Track actual vs planned hours, costs and activities; align schedules with cost controls.
• Maintain schedule baselines and manage approved changes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Provide planning and scheduling guidance to project teams.
• Oversee and mentor planners and schedulers; promote best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve project controls, scheduling processes and reporting.
