Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent with Chartered Status.
• 5+ years’ experience in the HV power transmission industry.
• Proven background producing detailed engineering studies in system studies, earthing, insulation coordination, or HV cable sizing.
• Expertise in primary engineering design including conductor and busbar sizing, short circuit forces, lightning protection and studies, equipment layouts.
• Based in QLD or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on detailed engineering studies (e.g., system studies, earthing, insulation coordination, HV cable sizing).
• Apply primary design skills (conductor/busbar sizing, short circuit forces, lightning/lighting studies, substation layouts, equipment specifications).
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and new location embedding.
• Undertake interstate travel to offices and project sites to build relationships with key stakeholders.
