Job summary

CPP, a member of Quanta Services, is seeking an Engineer Primary to deliver high‑voltage substation projects across Australia. You will develop technically sound primary electrical designs from concept through construction support, contributing to renewable energy and utility sector growth.

The role requires hands-on experience with HV design studies (Arc Flash, Earthing, coordination), system studies, and conductor/busbar sizing, supported by a degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in HV electrical industry in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in Arc Flash, Insulation Coordination Studies or Earthing.
• Power system study experience (not just reviewing), including lightning, lighting, short circuit, and load flow.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-voltage substation projects from concept through construction support.
• Produce technically sound primary electrical designs for large-scale infrastructure.
• Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams for practical, constructible solutions.
• Ensure designs are aligned with project requirements and safety standards.
