Job summary

NSW Government seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst to join the Finance team on a major costing project. You will consolidate data, build cost models and provide insights to inform pricing and cost-recovery decisions.

Based in Sydney CBD with hybrid work (two days in office), the role offers a competitive daily rate and an ASAP start. A strong background in pricing, financial analysis and cost accounting is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in pricing, financial analysis and cost accounting or a similar discipline.
• Strong modelling capability and ability to consolidate complex data.
• CA/CPA accreditation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication with finance and non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Consolidating, validating and analysing large datasets from multiple sources.
• Developing and maintaining financial and cost models using Excel and Power Pivot.
• Investigating historical cost movements, trends and operational variables.
• Reviewing costing methodologies to improve accuracy and transparency.
• Preparing dashboards and briefings for senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders.
• Applying cost accounting and cost-benefit analysis to support decisions.
• Supporting improvements to financial and pricing systems, data integration and reporting.
• Proactively identifying gaps and proposing better ways of working.
