Job summary

Suncorp in Sydney is seeking a Commercial Insurance Long Tail Pricing specialist to analyze data, develop pricing models, and deliver portfolio insights that drive profitability. You will collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, finance and technology to balance customer outcomes and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities include developing dashboards, supporting rate reviews, and preparing pricing papers for stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bring 2–5 years of relevant general insurance pricing, actuarial analysis or portfolio management experience.
Apply advanced analytical, problem-solving and statistical modeling skills to complex questions.
Use SAS, Excel, R or similar tools to analyze data and improve efficiency.
Demonstrate knowledge of commercial insurance products, pricing methods and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

Develop pricing dashboards and monitor key portfolio performance measures.
Analyse data and deliver insights for rate reviews and premium adequacy assessments.
Build pricing recommendations aligned with budgets, customer outcomes and portfolio objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain data pipelines for risk modelling.
Support model methodology, price change implementation, testing and compliance activities.
Prepare clear pricing papers and recommendations for stakeholders.
