Job summary

Infrastructure People is assisting a leading civil contractor in Sydney to recruit an experienced Preconstruction Manager. You will lead the front-end and tendering function, drive opportunities from review through to contract award, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across estimators, engineers and commercial staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Preconstruction Manager, Bid Manager or senior estimating position.
• Experience across bulk earthworks, remediation, demolition, roadworks, utilities or associated infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tenders from initial opportunity through to award.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction and tendering function and oversee bid strategy, estimating, programming and tender submissions.
• Coordinate estimators, engineers, commercial teams and external partners.
• Lead tender reviews, risk assessments and bid/no-bid decisions to optimise outcomes.
• Review construction methodologies, project risks and commercial requirements to guide opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and industry partners to identify value-engineering and delivery opportunities.
• Ensure a structured handover from preconstruction into project delivery and support business growth.
