Job summary

Uniting Victoria and Tasmania – Dandenong VIC is seeking an Orange Door Senior Practitioner to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver safe responses to children, young people and families affected by family violence. You will provide intake support, referrals and outreach.

Based in Dandenong on a permanent part-time basis (4 days a week), you will mentor staff and social work placements, collaborate with partners, and contribute to a child-safe, values-led workplace.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Social Work or related discipline (AQF Level 7+).
• Experience with child, youth and families welfare, especially complex cases.
• Strong risk assessment and management skills.
• Understanding of service system referral pathways and MARAM framework.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intake support via phone, site and outreach.
• Mentor and support team members and student placements.
• Assist Team Leader with referrals and program coordination.
• Develop partnerships with partner organisations and networks.
