TasNetworks is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for Tasmania's power system, guiding studies, operations and planning to secure reliability as energy needs evolve. You will work across planning and operation, influencing decisions on network performance and integration of new technologies.
You will lead engineers, mentor teams, uphold engineering standards, and apply your deep knowledge of HV transmission, modelling (PSS/E) and the NEM framework to
Competenze
- Minimum 10 years of experience analysing high-voltage transmission networks.
- Advanced capability in power system modelling and analysis (PSS/E etc.).
- Strong understanding of transmission operation, system security and NEM regulatory framework.
Mansioni
- Lead complex power system studies and investigations to support network security and future system development.
- Provide expert advice on operational limits and network performance for planning and real-time operations.
- Oversee development and optimisation of network security schemes and protection strategies.
- Contribute to integration of new generation and emerging technologies through modelling and planning.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
