Job summary

BHP is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to governance, modelling and analysis of WAIO power system augmentations. You will work within the Infrastructure & Services Electrical Governance and Technical Stewardship team, delivering technical leadership, stakeholder engagement and robust solutions.

The role focuses on developing technical rules, protecting and modelling the power system, and providing specialised support for renewable integration and energy storage projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electricity transmission and distribution with focus on power system modelling, analysis and operation.
• Knowledge of synchronous generation, renewables and energy storage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement WAIO power system rules and governance.
• Model, monitor and analyse power system and protection using specialist tools.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for augmentations.
• Lead system integration of renewable generation and storage.
