Job summary

AMSA is seeking Software Engineers to lead software development within a small, high-performing team in Canberra. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality software aligned to AMSA's mission and business needs.

Ideal candidates will have expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform (including Power Pages), strong front-end skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Vue.js) and robust full-stack capabilities (C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON, SQL).

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.
• Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such as Vue.js.
• Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
• Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.

The IT Project teams are small resource groups working closely with business teams, so ability to perform cohesively in this space is key.

Candidates MUST only be proposed if they have a genuine interest in working in this environment, be considered a good fit for a high performing team in a small organisation and have been vetted against the must have and desirable criteria.

Responses MUST include statements against all the criteria. Candidates that do not address the criteria in their submission may not be considered.

This role is Canberra based. AMSA will consider options for candidates to work outside of ACT however Canberra staff are preferred.
