Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Lara is seeking a Senior Projects Officer, Strategy and Policy to support the Digital Operations Unit in developing and maintaining in-cell technology policies. The role liaises with CV executives and ministers, and involves preparing high-level reports from diverse information sources.

The position is primarily based at Barwon Prisons Precinct Lara, with duties also at 121 Exhibition Street Melbourne and onsite at prison locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Corrections Victoria's operations, policies and procedures is highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in preparing high-quality written material with analysis.
• Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational policy review, amendment, and development relating to in-cell technology.
• Manage ad hoc tasks and projects relating to the development and amendments of operational policy, such as convening state-wide activity to consider the implementation of legislative or operational changes.
• Prepare high level detailed briefings and/or reports on policy issues that may involve integrating complex information from a variety of sources with limited direction.
