Job summary

3M Consultancy is seeking a Senior Platform / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to own a cloud-based SaaS environment in a remote Australia setting. You will manage AWS production environments, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive reliability across regions.

The role requires hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL/RDS, CI/CD pipelines, disaster recovery planning, and incident response. You will collaborate with development teams to scale and secure our platform while delivering continuous deployment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS production environments across Australia and internationally, using Terraform and IaC.
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability to identify issues early and reduce incidents.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement automated health checks and rollbacks.
• Ensure PostgreSQL and Amazon RDS databases are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance.
• Develop, test, and document disaster recovery procedures (RTO/RPO).
• Collaborate with software teams to improve application reliability and scalability.
• Manage infrastructure maintenance, security patches, and vulnerability fixes.
• Investigate production incidents and implement long-term fixes.
