Job summary

CMC Markets ANZ is seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer (Platform Security focus) to strengthen the security and resilience of our customer-facing trading platforms. You will operate within the APAC Security team, delivering hands-on security engineering across trading platforms and partnering with technology teams to identify risks and implement controls.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in Security Engineering, Platform Security or Application Security roles.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, trading or highly regulated environments is desirable.
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and app-layer controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide security guidance across the software delivery lifecycle and review platform designs.
• Design, implement and improve security controls for customer-facing platforms and APIs.
• Partner with Engineering, Development and DevOps to embed security.
• Support and enhance platform security capabilities, including web application protection and cloud controls.
• Lead or support incident investigations affecting trading platforms and customer accounts.
• Drive improvements to tooling, monitoring and detection capabilities.
