Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Stockbroking Development Team on an 18‑month max-term contract. You’ll contribute to strategic initiatives across stockbroking platforms, owning API integrations and backend enhancements while modernising the architecture.

The role blends backend with some frontend work in a cloud and on‑premises environment. You’ll work across C#, .NET, React, Angular, and AWS, shaping technical solutions, maintaining performance, and

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in C# / .NET development and backend focus.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud architectures (Azure also considered).
• Experience with ASP.NET, Web APIs, and API integrations.
• Extensive experience designing and maintaining API integrations.
• Solid experience with React or Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with Entity Framework and MSSQL / T-SQL performance tuning.

• Develop and deliver backend features for stockbroking platforms.
• Lead API integrations and backend enhancements while modernising architecture.
• Build high quality, scalable full-stack applications in a cloud and on-prem environment.
