Job summary

Xero is seeking a Senior Engineer for our Infrastructure team to design and build systems that create test environments and ensure data is ready for teams. You’ll accelerate software delivery and AI readiness by enabling fast, reliable testing across platforms.

You will work with Golang services and Terraform-based infrastructure on AWS (Kubernetes, EC2, Lambda). The role supports a remote-first culture with offices in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Golang preferred; Java or .NET also welcome.
• Experience in software engineering, platform or DevOps.
• Hands-on with Terraform, AWS and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain test environment tooling for engineers.
• Improve test data and enable frictionless testing workflows.
• Work with Golang services and infrastructure on AWS/Kubernetes.
• Contribute to long-term initiatives to speed up feedback and productivity.
