Job summary

Xero is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Infrastructure team in Australia. You will help Xero engineers build and test software faster, designing systems that create test environments and ensuring test data readiness.

This work sits at the heart of how we ship software and supports AI transformation. The role emphasizes hands-on work with Golang, Terraform, AWS and Kubernetes, with a remote-first culture across Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Background in software engineering, platform or DevOps, or infrastructure work with software knowledge.
• Golang is preferred; strong Java or .NET experience is welcome.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS and Kubernetes helps you hit the ground running.
• Curious, problem-solving mindset and ability to learn unfamiliar/legacy systems quickly.
• Clear communication is essential when collaborating across teams and leadership.
