Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an EL2 Principal Platform Engineer for a Federal Government client in Canberra (ACT). The role involves designing, building, operating and maturing secure, scalable cloud platforms across AWS and Azure, with strong emphasis on Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation.

Australian citizens with NV1 clearance are required for this 12-month contract term with extension options. The position focuses on platform governance, self-service developer experiences and reusable engineering

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, implementing and operating secure, scalable cloud platforms on AWS and Azure.
• Deep expertise in containerisation, Kubernetes and orchestration technologies.
• Proven capability in CI/CD enablement, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and continuously improve reusable platform services and cloud-native capabilities.
• Establish and maintain platform standards, templates and guardrails for safe, efficient delivery.
• Enhance developer experience with self-service capabilities and internal developer portals.
