Job summary

Gamuda Australia seeks an experienced Senior Planner - Renewables to join our Pre-Contracts & Tenders team, leading master schedules, 4D sequencing, and QSRA for major utility-scale bids ($100M-$500M+).

This role covers solar PV, BESS architecture, wind farm components, and AEMO grid connection hold points under EPC and D&C delivery models, with office options in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• 7+ years as a Senior Planner/Lead with Tier 1/2 contractor or EPC experience delivering mega renewable or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced hands-on with Primavera P6, MS Project, and Schedule Risk Analysis tools.
• Deep technical understanding of renewable energy construction sequencing (PV, BESS, wind, HV substations, AEMO grid points).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed Primavera P6 master schedules for utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, and HV substations from FEED to commissioning.
• Lead construction sequencing, time-location diagrams, logistics planning, and milestone definitions for tenders and EOI submissions.
• Perform QSRA, critical path analysis, and sensitivity modelling to support bid reviews and contingency sizing.
• Integrate long-lead equipment procurement and grid connection hold points into master schedules.
• Establish baselines, EVM frameworks, progress baselines, and productivity tracking for project handover.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner - Renewables to join our Pre-Contracts & Tenders team. Working closely with our Planning Manager and Renewables Lead, you will lead the development of first-principles master schedules, 4D construction sequencing, and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) for major utility-scale renewable energy bids ($100M-$500M+). This role spans solar PV, BESS architecture, wind farm balance of plant (BOP), and HV grid connection hold points under EPC and D&C delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed, resource-loaded Primavera P6 master schedules for utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, and HV substation projects from FEED through to commissioning.
• Lead construction sequencing, time-location diagrams, logistics planning, and milestone definition for major EOI and tender submissions.
• Perform Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA), critical path analysis, and sensitivity modeling to support executive bid reviews and contingency sizing.
• Integrate long-lead equipment procurement (PV modules, inverters, BESS enclosures, WTGs, transformers) and AEMO grid commissioning hold points into master schedules.
• Establish progress baselines, S-curves, productivity tracking benchmarks, and Earned Value Management (EVM) frameworks for project execution handover.

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience as a Senior Planner/Lead within a Tier 1/2 contractor or EPC, delivering Primavera P6 master schedules for major renewable energy or infrastructure projects ($100M+).
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Schedule Risk Analysis tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, or Deltek Acumen).
• Deep technical understanding of renewable energy construction sequencing (solar PV piling/trackers, BESS installation, WTG erection, HV substations, and AEMO grid connection hold points).
