Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our client’s Wangara head office in Perth for an immediate start on a major civil mining tender valued at $400M–$500M.

You’ll develop the programme using Primavera P6, focusing on resource-loaded planning, ECI tender support, and alignment with cost estimates. The role offers a 5-month contract with potential for temp-to-perm, based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Primavera P6 to develop large civil programmes.
• Proven ability to create resource-loaded schedules for bulk earthworks.
• Experience with tenders and ECI projects.
• Strong cost understanding and planning alignment.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction methodologies and planning strategies.
• Assist with estimating, resourcing and construction planning.
• Develop the ECI Level 4 programme and align with cost estimate.
• Prepare planning and commercial reports for management and tender submission.
• Develop and review S-curves, manning histograms and cash flow curves.
• Undertake scenario planning, resource loading and resource levelling.
• Work with Estimators and Quantity Surveyors to align programme, resources and cost.
• Support the development of a robust and commercially aligned tender programme.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Planner for an immediate start, based at their Wangara head office in Perth.

You’ll be joining a major, mining & resources tender involving a large-scale civil package valued at approximately $400M–$500M. The scope includes bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, HDPE lining and underground drainage.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner with strong Primavera P6, civil earthworks, tender and ECI experience to play a key role in developing the programme and supporting the tender submission.

• Hours: Monday–Friday
• Rate: $95–$110 per hour + super
• Pay: Weekly
• Contract: 5 months initially
• Potential: Temp-to-perm opportunity based on performance

Key Responsibilities

• Develop construction methodologies and planning strategies
• Assist with estimating, resourcing and construction planning

About You

• Highly proficient Primavera P6 skills
• Strong experience developing resource-loaded programmes for large-scale civil and bulk earthworks projects
• Previous experience working on tenders and ECI projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, planning and resource requirements
• Experience aligning programmes with cost budgets and cost control
• Civil Engineering qualification highly desirable
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
