Job summary

BMD Group is seeking a Senior Planner to lead and optimise detailed construction programs for the Gateway to Bruce Upgrade in Brisbane. You will work closely with construction, engineering and commercial teams to optimise sequencing, manage risks, and ensure delivery milestones are met.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a strong background in road or large-scale civil construction, with advanced skills in programming, delay analysis and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Planner on major infrastructure projects.
• Civil Engineering degree (highly regarded).
• Strong background in road, motorway or large-scale civil construction.
• Advanced knowledge of programming, delay analysis and contracts.
• Able to manage complex, staged construction environments.
• High-level proficiency in planning and scheduling software.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across site, client and commercial teams.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with delivery focus.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join the team delivering the Gateway to Bruce Upgrade — a significant transport infrastructure project in Brisbane’s northern corridor. This high-profile project will enhance connectivity and capacity across one of Queensland’s key motorway networks, involving complex staging, interface management and live traffic environments. As a Senior Planner, you will play a critical leadership role in driving program outcomes, working closely with construction, engineering and commercial teams to optimise methodology, sequencing and delivery strategy.
