Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a Planner to join our Karratha Projects team, supporting a strong pipeline of upcoming works across Cape Lambert and Mesa J. This Perth-based Monday – Friday role works closely with Project Managers and site-based teams to ensure effective planning, scheduling and reporting across all phases of project delivery.

Based in Perth, this full-time role offers mentoring, site travel opportunities, and internal transfer options.

Qualifications

  • Experience in planning and scheduling within contractor settings in resource sectors.
  • Site experience in mining or brownfield construction and sustaining capital is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Controls function for the project including planning/scheduling activities.
  • Plan the labour hours, conduct regular meetings with team leaders to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
  • Analyse qualitative or quantitative data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for action in regards to planning/scheduling.
  • Review planning and scheduling documentation and identify ambiguities, risks and key issues to be considered by the project execution team.
  • Ensure that appropriate planning and scheduling techniques and systems are implemented to meet the project’s needs.

Job description

Monadelphous is currently seeking a Planner to join our Karratha Projects team, supporting a strong pipeline of upcoming works across Cape Lambert and Mesa J. This Perth-based Monday – Friday role works closely with Project Managers, Project Leads and site-based teams to ensure effective planning, scheduling and reporting across all phases of project delivery. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Controls function for the project including planning/scheduling activities
  • Plan the labour hours, conduct regular meeting with team leaders to ensure on time delivery of projects
  • Analysing qualitative or quantitative data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for action in regards to planning/scheduling
  • Review planning and scheduling documentation and identify ambiguities, risks and key issues to be considered by the project execution team
  • Ensure that appropriate planning and scheduling techniques and systems are implemented to meet the projects needs
  • Works cooperatively with others to accomplish project goals
  • Handle enquiry's and provide information and advice to team members regarding planning and scheduling
  • Prepare planning/scheduling information into correspondence, forms, reports or databases; prepares information for dissemination to others
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in planning/scheduling in contractor settings within resource sector is highly desirable
  • Previous site experience within mining, brown-fields construction and Rio Tinto Sustaining Capital is highly advantageous
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera 6 & Microsoft Project is a must
  • Ability to formulate S-Curves and cross-referencing rostered hours and scheduled hours
  • A thorough understanding of the importance of critical path and resource level
  • Have sound commercial experience and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong interpersonal skills
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
