Job summary

Wide Bay Hospital & Health Service in Maryborough, QLD, is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist (Subacute) to deliver high-level physiotherapy services in subacute wards and lead geriatric physiotherapy initiatives. The role involves clinical supervision of staff and coordinating day-to-day operations under the Director of Physiotherapy.

The temporary full-time position offers a competitive remuneration package up to $162,378 p.a.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services to the subacute wards Maryborough Hospital and act as a resource in their area of expertise within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) Fraser Coast.
• Provide professional leadership in geriatric physiotherapy including clinical practice supervision of less experienced physiotherapists and clinical support staff at Hervey Bay & Maryborough Hospitals.
• Manage day to day operational aspects and planning of physiotherapy staff in subacute wards ensuring quality outcomes in collaboration with the Director of Physiotherapy.
• Provide leadership and contribute to service development, education and research in the department.
