Job summary

Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service invites a Senior Physiotherapist to lead and deliver high-level rehabilitation care in Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals. You will apply clinical expertise to support older adults, drive patient recovery, and improve independence and quality of life in the Wide Bay region.

The role also focuses on supervising allied health assistants, mentoring junior physiotherapists, and contributing to program development within an Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level physiotherapy clinical services to patients on the Transition Care Program as part of the Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service.
• Lead and manage the allied health assistants within the multidisciplinary Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service.
• Provide clinical practice supervision and clinical development to junior physiotherapists and allied health assistants within the multidisciplinary Integrated Care Rehabilitation team.
• Focus on providing physiotherapy programs for rehabilitation of older people discharged after acute or sub-acute care, preventing inappropriate admissions and supervising delegated therapy programs.
