Job summary

The Queensland Government is offering a Temporary Full Time physiotherapist role within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) Fraser Coast in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. You will deliver high-level clinical services in subacute wards and provide professional leadership in geriatric physiotherapy.

You will supervise junior staff, manage daily operations, and contribute to service development, education and research, with a focus on collaborative care and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level physiotherapy clinical services to the subacute wards at Maryborough Hospital and act as a resource within WBHHS Fraser Coast.
• Provide professional leadership in geriatric physiotherapy including clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapists and support staff at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects and planning of physiotherapy staff in subacute wards to ensure quality outcomes in collaboration with the Director of Physiotherapy.
• Provide leadership and contribute to service development, education and research within the department.
