Job summary

Northern Beaches Hospital in Sydney is seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse Manager to join the team, leading perioperative services across the operating theatres.

The role focuses on clinical leadership, staffing, governance, and ensuring delivery of high-quality surgical care in line with ACORN, NSQHS and MOH standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA; recognized post graduate/tertiary qualifications in health and ongoing engagement in professional development to further enhance management and leadership competencies.
• Recent management experience in a Perioperative Service in an acute hospital setting inclusive of ACORN standards and Human Resource Management issues.
• Proven ability to contribute to and advance operational/business plans for Nursing services, coordinate change processes and monitor nursing resource allocations within perioperative settings.
• Experience and demonstrated ability in leading quality improvement activities in perioperative settings with knowledge of ACHS Equip/National Standards accreditation requirements, WH&S and infection control.
• Demonstrated experience in building, leading and managing teams to achieve KPIs for elective and emergency surgical programs.
• Demonstrated computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
• Sound knowledge of the Ministry of Health's strategic directions and the nursing and midwifery agenda as applied to perioperative setting.
