Job summary

Expert360 seeks a senior HR leader to lead the people agenda at a major residential mining operation in Central West NSW. You will partner with operational leaders to build a high-performing, compliant workforce and shape practical people strategies that deliver safe, sustainable business outcomes.

This is a visible site-based leadership role focused on workforce capability, culture and organisational performance, with responsibility for labour relations, workforce planning and people programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, HR best practice and industrial relations frameworks.
• Proven experience managing employee relations, investigations, disciplinary matters and workplace risk.
• Confidence to influence senior operational leaders in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication, advisory and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate people data into practical action.
• A leadership style that is calm, credible, inclusive and outcomes focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted, commercially focused advice to project leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
• Lead strategic workforce planning that aligns talent, capability and resourcing with operational priorities.
• Manage complex employee and labour relations matters, including collective bargaining agreement compliance.
• Conduct non-escalated business integrity and compliance investigations with fairness, discretion and sound judgement.
• Oversee disciplinary processes, case management and labour risk mitigation, including preparation for potential industrial unrest.
• Deliver enterprise people programs, engagement initiatives and listening surveys that strengthen culture and performance.
• Use workforce data, trends and insights to identify risks, improve processes and support informed decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop a capable People team through clear priorities, constructive feedback and recognition.
• Champion change management initiatives and foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace where people can thrive.
