Job summary

Blackwoods, part of Wesfarmers, seeks a Senior People Experience Business Partner to support Regional Operations leaders across a national Trade Store network. You will drive workforce strategies, lead organisational change and provide expert ER/IR guidance across 50+ locations and ~480 team members.

You will partner with leaders to build capability, mentor managers, lead enterprise bargaining activities, and use data to inform decisions while promoting a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Significant HR Business Partnering experience within complex operational environments.
• Strong ER/IR expertise including EBA knowledge.
• Demonstrated success leading organisational change and transformation programs.

We're seeking a Senior People Experience Business Partner to support our Regional Operations leaders across a national Trade Store network. Supporting more than 50 locations and approximately 480 team members, you'll play a critical role in building high-performing teams, driving organisational change and delivering practical people solutions that enable business success.

This is a unique opportunity to influence leaders at all levels, navigate complex employee and industrial relations matters, and help shape the future workforce of a large, customer-focused organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Partner with operational leaders to execute workforce and people strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Lead workforce planning, succession planning and talent initiatives to build future leadership capability.
• Support significant business transformation and organisational change programs.
• Coach, challenge and influence leaders to strengthen performance, accountability and engagement.
• Drive improvements across retention, attendance, performance management and leadership effectiveness.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations and risk management matters.
• Lead enterprise bargaining activities and maintain productive union relationships.
• Use workforce insights, data and metrics to identify opportunities and inform decision making.
• Design and facilitate leadership development and capability-building initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships across People, Safety, Talent Acquisition and operational leadership teams.

We're looking for someone who

• Significant HR Business Partnering experience within complex operational environments.
• Tertiary qualifications at bachelor's degree level are preferred. While qualifications in Human Resources are highly regarded, candidates with degrees from other disciplines will also be considered.
• Strong (ER) employee relations and (IR) industrial relations expertise, including (EBA) enterprise bargaining experience.
• Demonstrated success leading organisational change and transformation programs.
• Strong capability in workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.
• Proven ability to influence, challenge and coach senior leaders.
• Highly collaborative, commercially minded and comfortable working both strategically and hands-on.
