Job summary

Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) invites a Senior People & Culture Officer to join its Canberra-based team. The role covers both the WHS framework and full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to wellbeing, with reporting to the People & Culture Manager.

You'll lead risk and incident management, provide HR guidance across policy and compliance, and support HRIS and reporting, contributing to a healthy, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience with WHS program management.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk assessment.
• Experience in end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
• Familiarity with Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, enterprise agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for policy/reporting.
• Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
• Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and embed ANMAC's WHS framework including risk and incident management.
• Provide practical HR advice across employee relations, policy, and compliance.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Support HRIS management, workforce reporting, and process improvement.
• Drive wellbeing, engagement and inclusive workplace initiatives.
• Support WHS training and manager capability.
• Advise the broader People & Culture team.
