Job summary

ANU seeks a Senior WHS Specialist to lead and shape work health and biosafety across the University, within the Safety & Wellbeing team of the People and Culture Division.

This senior professional role provides strategic advice, develops safety frameworks and programs, and partners with Colleges, Schools, researchers and staff to strengthen safety outcomes and culture.

Full-time, fixed-term up to 12 months; ANU Canberra location; 17% superannuation on salary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape WHS and biosafety at ANU as the Senior WHS Specialist.
• Provide University-wide expert WHS advisory services across complex risks in research, teaching and operations.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve safety frameworks, systems and programs to enable compliant risk management.
• Collaborate with Colleges, Schools, Portfolios, researchers and staff to strengthen safety outcomes and culture across the University.
