Canterbury Girls’ Secondary College in Melbourne seeks a classroom teacher to plan, prepare and deliver programs that achieve specific student outcomes within a dynamic school community.

The role emphasizes high-quality instruction, ongoing professional learning, and collaboration with students, parents and colleagues to support learning, wellbeing and engagement. Fixed term contracts may apply in line with school needs.

Formación

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy; respond to student learning needs.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on student growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing learning; using data to inform practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• Behaviours consistent with Department values and commitment to reflective practice and professional learning.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare and teach programmes to achieve specific student outcomes.
• Engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve practice.
• Contribute to school program development beyond the classroom as experience grows.
• Teach range of duties including supervision of student teachers and staff collaboration.
