Voyages Tourism Australia in Sydney is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to deliver accurate end-to-end payroll processing, manage reconciliations, and support improvements across payroll operations.

Qualifications

Job description

Voyages Tourism Australia offers experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations, including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre and tourism facilities in Mossman Gorge, located in tropical Queensland.

This role is located at our office in Sydney, which serves as a central hub, providing support to our operational teams based in our two locations.

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional with strong end-to-end payroll expertise, payroll systems knowledge, and a keen eye for detail to join our Finance Team as a Senior Payroll Officer. This role will see you delivering accurate and compliant payroll processing, managing reconciliations and reporting, resolving payroll queries, and supporting continuous improvement across payroll operations.

Key Duties

• Checking of Documents for Voyages Corporate Office, Ayers Rock Resort and Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, Reconciliation, Preparation and Running Reports related to end-to-end Payroll Processing Function.
• Processing, Preparation and Submission of End of Month Reports, Reconciliation of Net Wages, Superannuation and Payroll Taxes up to and including their Scheduled payments.
• Working with the Group Payroll Manager on the interpretation of existing awards and future awards

To be successful for this role you will have:

• 10 years’ experience in payroll operations
• Knowledge of Statutory Requirements regarding Leave, Super, Tax and Awards
• Experience in the use of Excel, Workday and UKG along with financial banking system
