Job summary

4K Automotive is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll function across all entities, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with Australian awards, NES, Fair Work and statutory obligations. You will oversee end-to-end payroll, maintain payroll records and STP reporting, and provide expert guidance on payroll queries.

You will also drive the transition from Unipay to Employment Hero while collaborating with Finance and People & Culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience leading a payroll team.
• Experience in payroll, preferably in automotive, retail or a multi-site company.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and Fair Work requirements.
• Experience with Unipay and HRIS systems; Employment Hero highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across all entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure accurate payroll records, leave entitlements, superannuation and STP reporting.
• Provide expert guidance on payroll queries, award interpretation and compliance.
• Support onboarding, terminations and payroll-related administration.
• Lead the transition from Unipay to Employment Hero, including testing and process improvements.
