Job summary

CKD Automotive is seeking an experienced Group Payroll & HR Officer to manage the group’s payroll and day-to-day HR administration across our Sydney motor dealership operations. You will oversee weekly payroll for 200+ employees and ensure HR records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.

The role requires hands-on payroll experience, strong Australian payroll knowledge, and proficiency with Employment Hero.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience processing payroll from start to finish.
• Experience managing weekly payroll for a medium-size or larger workforce.
• Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation, modern awards, overtime, allowances, leave entitlements and termination payments.
• Experience with HR administration, including onboarding, employment contracts, employee records and offboarding.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and payroll or HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the weekly payroll process for the group, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Review timesheets, leave, overtime, allowances, commissions, salary adjustments and other payroll changes.
• Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with applicable awards, contracts, legislation and policies.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and investigate payroll queries.
• Assist with superannuation processing, payroll tax and payroll reporting obligations.
• Administer employee onboarding, including employment documentation and system set-up.
• Coordinate employee offboarding, including termination documentation and final pay information.
