Job summary

Cuscal is seeking a Compliance Manager to join the Group Risk & Compliance team and help shape the future of payments in Australia. You will oversee regulatory obligations, compliance assurance, change management, and financial product compliance across Cuscal.

In this role, you’ll manage frameworks, policies and training programs, conduct reviews, monitor regulatory developments, and provide reporting to management. A strong understanding of Australian regulatory landscape is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive compliance or regulatory experience within the Australian financial services or payment services industry.
• Demonstrated experience with interpreting and managing financial service obligations.
• Strong understanding of compliance management principles, structures and processes.
• Experience designing and implementing effective compliance management frameworks within financial services.
• Knowledge of APRA standards and requirements for operating as an ADI.

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing management of Cuscal's compliance framework and risk and compliance system.
• Maintain key compliance registers, monitoring plans, training plans and consolidated compliance reporting.
• Develop and review compliance policies, standards and guidance.
• Perform compliance reviews and control assurance activities to assess adherence to key regulatory obligations.
• Proactively monitor emerging regulatory and legislative change, assessing potential impacts and recommending actions.
• Provide stakeholders with updates on regulatory developments across APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC, OAIC and DIA requirements.
• Support regulatory certifications, reporting and engagement.
• Oversee the risk and compliance training calendar and contribute to training design.
• Support audit activities and responses to external information requests.
• Provide regular and ad hoc compliance reporting and analysis to management.
