Job summary

The Cheesecake Shop in Campbelltown NSW is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will bake a range of pastries, cakes and desserts, prepare fillings and dough, and ensure high standards of quality and presentation.

This full-time role offers 38 hours per week, a salary of AUD 80,000–90,000, and a supportive work environment with on-site hours Mon–Sun 9 am–5 pm; days and hours to be discussed.

Qualifications

• Education: Cert III + 2 years of on job training or Cert IV or Diploma or Adv Diploma.
• Australian Experience: At least 3+ years of Australian Experience OR
• Overseas Experience: At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience
• Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder

Responsibilities

• Baking and preparing rolls, muffins, cookies, pies, cakes, croissants, pastry, scones, bars, quiche, tarts, tartlets and other baked items.
• Prepare baked Cakes, Mud Cakes, Tortes & Gateaux, Daily Treats, Celebration Cakes, Desserts, Kids Cakes and Candles.
• Making pastry dough and operating pastry machines. Mix shortbread dough and savoury dough.
• Baking bread, rolls and pastry products. Prepare pasty fillings and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.
• Weighing, kneading, maturing, cutting, mounding, mixing, placing, proofing and shaping the dough and preparing the fillings for the pastry.
