The Cheesecake Shop in Sydney is seeking a dedicated Pastrycook to join our bakery team. This full-time role involves preparing and producing a range of cakes, pastries, and baked products with a focus on quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastrycook or in a similar bakery role.
• Knowledge of baking, pastry preparation, cake making and decoration.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain product quality.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries and other baked products.
• Mix and prepare dough, pastry, creams, fillings and icing.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with good presentation.
• Check quality, freshness and appearance of finished products.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas and equipment.
• Assist with planning daily pastry production and ingredient requirements.
• Minimise food waste and manage stock levels.
• Work with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily production.
