Job description

Senior Partnerships Manager, Software and Platform

Every software platform that moves money needs a payments partner. Your role is to make sure it's Zenith.

About Zenith Payments

Software platforms are changing how Australians pay rent, school and childcare fees, travel bookings and business expenses. Behind every one of them sits a payments decision. We're looking for a partnerships manager to find the platforms that should be working with Zenith, and build partnerships that create real value on both sides.

Zenith Payments is a proudly Australian-owned payments processing and prepaid card business with more than 20 years as a payment processor. We're profitable, growing quickly and operate a portfolio of payment and prepaid card solutions across C2B and B2B markets, trusted by many blue-chip organisations. We're big enough to deliver complex solutions at scale, and small enough that good ideas reach the people who make decisions in days, not quarters.

The opportunity

Zenith Payments is seeking a highly motivated and results driven Partnerships Manager to proactively identify, pursue, and secure new software and platform partners across the Australian payments landscape. This role is designed for an experienced partnerships hunter who thrives on creating their own opportunities from a standing start, then applying a consultative, solutions led approach to bring the deal to close.

You will engage with senior leaders across prospective software and platform partners to understand their challenges, design tailored integration and commercial models, and drive new partnership growth. Strong experience in solution sales within the payments industry is essential, along with a solid technical understanding of software integrations (e.g. APIs), giving you credibility with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

Leveraging your deep knowledge of the Australian payments landscape, you will collaborate with technical and commercial teams to clarify payment gaps and recommend tailored solutions, building Zenith's software and platform partnership network. This role is instrumental in driving Zenith's growth by identifying future partnership opportunities and consistently exceeding new revenue targets.

What you'll be doing

  • Actively hunt for and create new partnership opportunities with software and platform providers across the Australian payments landscape.
  • Build and execute partner led growth strategies, developing new software and platform partnership opportunities.
  • Proactively approach prospective partners, draft commercial proposals, and map partnership models based on Zenith's product stack.
  • Create and maintain a dynamic partner prospect list, including new industries and platform categories.
  • Lead initial outreach and conduct new business meetings with partner decision makers.
  • Analyse partner requirements and payment gaps, and design tailored integration and commercial models.
  • Communicate technical and commercial concepts to diverse partner audiences.
  • Develop and deliver compelling partnership presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal product and technical teams to align partner integration requirements with Zenith's capabilities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting the partner ecosystem.
  • Use CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) to manage partner pipeline and reporting.
  • Travel as required for partner meetings, workshops, and industry events.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum 10 years of successful experience in a senior partnerships, channel or business development role, ideally within payments or software platforms.
  • Proven track record of proactively generating your own partner pipeline and closing complex, high value partnership agreements.
  • Genuine consultative selling ability, comfortable moving from proactive prospecting through to closing using a solutions led approach with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Australia's payment systems, technologies, and processes.
  • Solid technical understanding of software integrations (e.g. APIs) and the ability to translate this into commercially viable partnership models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross functional collaboration with technical and commercial audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for building long term partner relationships.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and partner or sales enablement tools.
  • Experience across our core verticals advantageous but now a showstopper.

Why Zenith

  • Secure Australian owned and operated business.
  • Fast growing, profitable, and innovative company in the payments and prepaid card industries.
  • Over 20 years as a payment processor with strong growth and career development opportunities.
  • Office based in Mascot, Sydney.
  • 20 annual leave days.
  • 5 additional 'Odd Job Days' per year for personal errands and events (after 12 months).
  • Generous maternity and paternity leave policy with additional paid leave.
  • Regular Zenith Awards for outstanding staff performance.
  • Strong culture driven by Zenith Values.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
