Job summary

Far West NSW Local Health District in Broken Hill, NSW, seeks a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to provide assessment and treatment for paediatric clients from birth to 18 years, with potential outreach and telehealth in remote settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with registration via AHPRA.

What you'll be doing

The Senior Clinical Occupational Therapist position is responsible for providing assessment and treatment primarily to the Paediatric services – clients from birth to 18 years of age (including Primary Health Care), however at times adult services may be required on outreach or during times of low staffing. The Broken Hill Health Allied Health Service utilises a collaborative practice model in a multidisciplinary team. Outreach and telehealth services may also be components of services that will be required. (Please note due to the vast distances of outreach services with adult or paediatric service provision may be required with appropriate support from an appropriate source).

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with registration via AHPRA and ability to be registered via appropriate professional organisation.
• Demonstrated current clinical knowledge, skills and experience in Occupational Therapy Paediatric assessment and intervention.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, prioritise and manage a mixed caseload.
